hi

Further, if the class you are modifying has been extended, you will have to either export and import all the extended classes or recompile the system. This really depends on which method you are modifying. For eg. If you modify class declaration method of class 'reqCalc'. You will have to export and reimport every extended class like say 'reqCalcExplode'

If you don't have X++ licence and want to modify a class do the following :

-Apply your modifications
-Export the class
-Reimport the class

The changes will be applied when you reimport it.  If you logout before you reimport, changes will be lost.

Is that what you're searching for?

Objet : [development-axapta] Changes in classes when no X++ lisence

What do you suggest?
As a partner we have lisence to develope in classes and such, but
when the customer do not have X++ lisence - it is difficult to add
changes to the classes. What do you do?

The suggestions on the table are:
1:Change the lisence to partner lisence when adding the changes,
change back when customer is online again. This means syncronizing
and we have experienced loss of data. Ex: In User Group Rights. Do
you know of any other side effects?

2:Move the axVar.aod and recompile. Any sideeffect to this way? Seems
to me to take much time, and what to do if something goes wrong -
back with the old aod and recompile again? Much downtime on the
customer.

Do you have better suggestions?
