hi

You will have to understand InventMovement class and how it is used in two different ways. One set is used to control the journals and another set to control transactions like picking list , production order etc.

What are u planning to do?  I needed to do this to develop 'by product' module in Axapta production.I found this very confusing to start with. However, what I would suggest is that just start hacking the functionality in a test system and you will find everything very easy after the first 1-2 hours.

Subject: [development-axapta] Code Inventory movement process

Hi axapta experts,

I am required to use X++ to automate the inventory movement process for certain scenarios. I realise there is great risk involved in this as I have to carefully duplicate the inventory movement process accurately to avoid any inconsistencies to the data. However before I attempt to reverse engineer the standard Inventory Posting process, I would like to know if there is anyone of you who had faced similar situation? If so are there any safer alternatives to this? I would really appreciate some example codes on this too.

Thanks in advance,
Charles
