A little more on the problem.. it happens when a user selects a couple of
lines in the custtable form, and presses ctrl-c to copy them, and only when
those sales orders contain a number of sales lines.. I'm not talking huge
volumes here, four or five sales orders with five lines each will do it.
It happens when we log in to our dev instance (thin client to our dev AOS
pointing to our dev DB), but does NOT happen when we do exactly the same
thing connected to our live instance (again, thin client to live DB through
live AOS). The two AOS's reside on the same physical server and the two DB
instances are on the same physical server.

Thanks for the startup tip. I will try that.

  Hi

We did a change in the SP3 release to size up the smartheap memory. Try
to change the code to this..

  Classes/Info/Startup

      if (xGlobal::clientKind() != ClientType::Server)

          SmartHeapMemorySizeUp();

  Hi Girish,
The harddrive used for the swap file has over 15 Gigs free.. And the
database runs on a different server. I really am at a loss..

    Hi Matt,

Did you check the space on the hard disc? and also if there are some
Databases created which are not used, then delete them.

      Hi all,
We have a VERY serious problem. Our installation is complaining
  about
    being
out of memory, but the server on which it is running still has over
  700Mb
    of
physical memory free and the swap file has only reached half it's
  allowed
size. This is reproducible and potentially explains why certain bulk
processes we have been running are getting progressively slower. It
  has
    got
to the point where when a user performs certain actions, they are
    presented
with a dialog with a title that includes 'smartheap lib' and with
  the
message 'out of memory, please free some memory'. We have tested
  this on
  a
number of client machines and it occurs no matter where this is
  run-so
  we
are sure it is server related. We also noticed that it only happens
  on
  one
of our AOS instances, so it is AOS limited. Has anyone seen this
  before
    and
      do you have any suggestions?
