Be aware, in som tables, like the batch-table, records are save with reference to e.g. classids. When you move your code, classids, tableids and so on changes, and then you loose your reference. No way of export/importing data resolves this issue. We have tried in vain to make MBS support us with a tool to safely move data between layers. MBS is not willing to do this, stating export/import is the tool to use, and all other issues must be handle manually. But previously export/import had many errors, practically making it impossible to work with on large amounts of data. We haven't tried on 3.0, so the errors could be fixed. All-in-all, we ended up keeping the code in the layer, after a lot of discussion with MBS.

Hi,

I am attempting to move my code from the var to the bus
layer. While this is no problem with an empty database
I have not been able to do this keeping the data
in the database. I would like to avoid exporting and
importing with IDs.

Stefan
