I am using my axapta batch server. I have reports that i want to
automatically generate in axapta to a folder location on the hard
drive.
Then i schedule outlook to send the file to the desired reciepants.
The reason i do this is because we have .xls entension loaded into
axapta but axapta cant email the .xls extension, only generate the
file.
what i want is to have the report automacially overwrite or delete
the previous days report in the folder on the hard drive, otherwise i
get the error msg "c:\documents and settings\etc\etc already exists,
do you want to overwrite yes/no?" this stuffs up my automation! and
requires manual intervention, not what i want!
i want the system to either,
a. ignore this and automatically overwrite the file
b. delete the report generated from yesterday in the same folder and
generate the current one.
c. automatically answer 'yes' to the question.
do i use the winapi method for this? and where abouts to i position
this code in the report? in the class declaration or init? can
someone help me with this?
