When you copy the old database (2.5) and make the upgrade an analyze is already running. You should ask your DBA to check if anything are present in the Oracle table DBA_JOBS. If there are an entry saying something about Axapta.CollectStatistic (afair) that would disallow Axapta to create or replace the package Axapta.
Performance wise it is important to allow the upgrade to perform that job otherwise upgrade will be performing very slow.

When I arrived to the synronize point in the upgrade checklist. Oracle
throw an error after waiting some minuets.
When running syncronize from the checklist a class called SysSqlSetup is
runned from class SysCheckListItem_SynchronizeUpgrade::main().
It(SysSqlSetup) again calls a class SysOracleStatisticsSetup and the method
'initAxaptaPackage'. This is where it stops and oracle throw this error
(freely transelated from Norwegian): "ORA-04021: Timebreak occured while
waiting for locking of object BMSSA.Axapta""
Is it important to run this job? I had to comment it out. I have since run
the ordinary statistics.
Anyone knows what can cause oracle to not manage to lock the BMSSA.Axapta
