keep in  mind:

launching axapta client with full-qulified path to ax32.exe is the ONLY way to force starting a specisifc client in all cases. the entry bindir with in config DOES NOT guarantee a specific client. so if you have different clients (surroundings) you should EVER use axapta by. cmd or (.lnk) start the described way - but NEVER the standard "doubeclick the config" way.

addition: the described way is a non supported developer only way (thats the way - full qulified launching from unc share on network to access different axapatas during development).

shared client runs are not official supported.

this way is only used for the way out of not to have multiple machines (with different axaptas) for each developer.

they have to have installed a (newest) client locally at least once on their machines, but they are running in trouble too if differnt axaptas are using different axapta-addons (means activex ore somtihing).

Subject: [development-axapta] 2 clients SP1 SP3

Hi!

I've just installed 2 thin clients on my computer, one 3.0SP1 and the other 3.0SP3.  I have one AXC file that opens my SP1 instance and another that opens my SP3.  But it seems that the client that is launch when I double-click on an AXC is the last one that successfully logged. So if I log on to SP1 then close it and then double-click on the SP3 AXC file I get an error since it tries to logon to an SP3 Application with an SP1 client.  Do somebody know a way around this?

Steeve...
