Kernel hotfix 2 for SP3, Hot Fix

The Navision Axapta 2.5 SP3 kernel hotfix 2 contains corrections for
hotfix 1 as well as missing support for ActiveX form controls due to
Microsoft security issues. If you are not severely affected by this
problem, Navision recommends that you wait for the Navision Axapta 2.5
Service Pack 4.

Corrections made for:

*      The Axapta client does not support ActiveX form controls when
running under Windows XP SP1, Windows Server 2003, Internet Explorer 6.0
SP1 and Windows 2000 SP4. The area where the ActiveX is located is
simply not drawn on the forms. This means that the upgrade wizard, the
online Help, the web page editor, etc. does not work at all (New)
*      The Axapta Object Server (AOS) do not recognize changes made to
the application before being restarted. One client could change
application without other clients seeing it before the AOS had been
restarted
*      User license exhaustion due to problems in retaining COM users.
Installations were running out of user licenses without any obvious
reason

Installation procedure:

*      Before installing the hotfix kernels and associated files, exit
Navision Axapta completely and stop the AOS
*      Unzip the HF25SP3Kernel_002.zip and copy the files into the
Navision Axapta BIN directory
*      Start AOS again and Axapta is now ready to be run in the
three-tier mode
*      The upgrade is now completed

Note, the zip-file only contains one executable. If you want to apply
the second hotfix, the first hotfix also required as the AOS- and COM
component has not been upgraded within the second hotfix.

Subject: [development-axapta] Window not opening

Has anyone experienced a problem with openning child windows within
Axapta 2.5. When we go to open child windows, such as the help
window, OS shows a blank task in task bar, but no window opens. Also
the task stays on the taskbar until Axapta is closed. Any suggestions
would be greatly appreicated.
