That is correct. There's no "deny" that will override access granted by another user group in Axapta security. If one group allow it and your in, then you have access to it.

Hi All,
Can anyone explain how security precidence in Axapta works? To clarify, when
a user belongs to one or more groups, am I correct in stating that
a) They will be given permissions granted to them by all groups of which
they are a member (ie if group A denies access to a function and group B
permits access, a user belonging to both groups will be granted that
access).
b) Permissions set on a user will override permissions set on any group(s)
that user belongs to (ie if group A still denies access to the function, but
the user is specifically granted access, they will be able to use the
function)
Also, permissions can be set through the 'security' view or through a menu
'view'. Which of these have precedence? As I understand it the 'security'
view controls security keys, whereas the 'menu' view controls things at a
menu item and control level. So if a given report was accessable through two
different menu items, disabling it in the security view would disable it for
both items, whereas in the menu item, disabling the menu item for it in one
place would result in it still being available from the other menu location.
Finally, when users remove items from a form using the 'setup'
functionality, how is this stored and how does it compare to removing items
from forms using user or group security?
