Hi Again ;-)

I don't think it would damage anything (haven't tried it) but you should
make the edt so it conforms the constrains of the enum (or currently used
dt). Eg. If currently used dt is a string og size 20 you should at least
make the stringsize of the edt 20! But of cource you should ;-)

Hi,

Thanks ! Was not dumb!. Ye the fields must be assigned to edt. Otherwise
he (axapta) will shout at you when you try to create a template.

But i need to create a template for userinfo table. There are some
fields which are not attached to any edt or enum.

Will axapta create any problem if i attach these fields to any some
edt?.

  any idea ?

thanks

Jim

Hi

Maybe this is a dumb question, but have you assigned a base enum or an
extended datatype for the attribute (field) you want to export? If not try
doing so ;-) I experienced that Axapta couldn't export if I didn't assign
the field a "axapta" datatype.
