Steeve,
Thanks for the reply. It works the way you describe it, but I was trying to get it working with a section group. As part of a trainingsdocument I am writing about building reports and documents I am trying to understand the way these elements are used. Next to it I am modifying some docs at this moment. If I understand it well the Section Group is triggered / enabled for printing when the line element.send(SalesLine record) is coded into the fetch() method of the document. I assume (but can you confirm this) that when I do so I do not need to write a display method to get the value for the new field. regards, Danny --- Steeve Gilbert <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > The line is not printed because there's no > element.send() that would trigger your SalesLine > section.
