it is simple enough to copy str2con and remove type conversion. BTW
russian localization have method str2con_RU without type conversion

nope, sometime i want vcl, but i have no experience with parsed comma
delimited value pairs.
and i don't think that combine parser and data structure in single
slass is a good idea...
