Hi Lars,
That was not the problem I was referring to (though the hotfix for the ABC
on w2k3 is great! We have wanted to move to 2003 and this problem was the
only thing holding us back!).

The problem we have had was when the _client_ was running Windows XP SP2 (ie
the operating system service pack, not the axapta service pack), and that
the web deployment  component did not identify the need to instal the axapta
service pack.

Which describes a Microsoft Hotfix to solve the problem

Subject: [development-axapta] Web deployment and XP SP2

Hi there,
Has anyone else experienced problems with web deployment and the new
securities introduced by service pack 2 for Windows XP? I recently had
an
issue with a machine with SP2 (newly installed system, OEM supplied OS
is
alredy SP2) where the activeX did not seem to pick up that the it needed
to
install the Axapta client service pack. It installed the client fine,
but
not the service pack, we had to manually install the client service pack
(which pretty much defeats the point of using web deployment).
Is there a way around this? We would like to be able to look at moving
to
SP2 for all our users, but this won't really be practical if this issue
persists.
