As per my knowlegde In packslip posting the inventory is updated but the financial posting gets updated only upon invoicing. In short when you Invoice directly both the inventory as well as financial related posting are done by the system..... Axapta invokes two different classed while performing the posting SalesFormLetter_PackingSlip -- when Packingslip updates are done SalesFormLetter_Invoice -- when Invoice updates are done. within both the above mentioned class we have a method updateInventory() which is called within another method updateNow() of the respective classes through which the inventory against the ordered qty are updated....
