As part of the 3.0 rewrite, configuration was made an inventory
dimension just as the serial number.  Therefore, you have a relationship
from InventSerial.InventSerialId to InventDim.InventSerialId, and thus
you have the combinations of s/n and configuration.

InventSerial is now regarded as a supporting table, and it would be
cyclical and redundant to have ConfigId on this table.

Thus, ConfigId is no longer needed, and not converted.

I am aware that this is what Axapta does with the other 40 tables which
had the configId move to the inventDim.  Axapta's Upgrade wizard does
not move the inventSerial.ConfigId data.
If I take your suggestion, that means that you would have to link the
InventSerial record to the InventDim record.  As the inventSerialId is
not unique you would have to add a inventDimId field to the
inventSerial.  Still Thanks for your help.

      Hi all,
I have done several upgrades 2.5 to V3.0 with Service Packs.
Usually the class ReleaseUpdateDB_V25toV30 has the methods to
let us
know how the data will be upgraded.  However, there is no
mention of
what Axapta will do with the InventSerial.Del_ConfigId data.
Has
anyone upgraded a system where in V2.5 they had data in
InventSerial.Configid ?  If so, where did you move the data to
for
      V3.0
      Thanks a bundle
      Tony
