It's relatively easy, but not without development work. BizTalk 2004 no
longer supports the native connections, so you have 2 options: Web
services or file drops.
- If you use web services, you will have to write a web services
front-end for Axapta. How urgent is it? I can provide you with a C#
skeleton that I wrote in an hour that provides state managed COM access
to Axapta. I know there is an Axapta Web Service available for Axapta,
but they charge around $12,000 I heard, which is somewhat extreme given
the effort it takes to write such a Web Service even with the business
functionality it includes -- not to mention that you would not get the
source, and thus you can not expand it with BizTalk functionality
yourself.
- If you use file drops, which is relatively simple, all you need is to
rewrite Axapta a bit to suck up the files inbound instead of using HTTP.
Very simple and easy...
/Jesper
PS. Contact me directly if you want to go the Web Services route and
want my help...
