Thanks everyone for the advice - It seems we have our work cut out for us
here!

Anyway - I believe the link Max gave me may be the key - if this will work,
we can develop around the sourcesafebridge and use it to store our projects
/ objects / information etc. 

Having a good Version control is key to any project / lifetime success!

We  are  using out custom developed solution to version control of X++
source and form it is based on
blokva                            solution                           (
http://www.axforum.ru/forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=20287    )  and
then ported to 3.0 and strongly refactored.

You can follow the same scheme.
