think about sortOrter desc for the date field in the datasource of the report an modifying the fetch in order to only fetch the
first record.
That will be the highest one.

I have a report where the range i a Date field.
if a person enters the range 04-01-05..05-01-05 how do I then use alle
the values in that range?? e.g. I would like to find a record with
only the highest value "05-01-05" ???
