My experience is that more cpu's have a lot of effect on the performance.
We upgraded from 1g to 3g memory and there was no perfomance gain. Same
with adding 2 disks to the raid 10 array.
We did notice a BIG difference after adding a second cpu, probably because
similair threads are handled much better.
Config:
Dual xeon 2,4 ghz
3gig ram
4x 72g 10.000rpm disks
30 clients
