Hi Helmut

We have a customer running Axapta SP3 with Oracle
9.2.0.6 Patch 2. We had memory problems on the
database due to the fact the AOS created orphan
(zombie) processes on the database because it did not
shut down the connections correctly. A Microsoft
system engineer recommended us to upgrade to the
newest Oracle patch which we did. You can use this
version with Axapta 3.0 without problems. Actually the
real Oracle version is 9.2. Anything that comes more
to the number are patch versions and should not create
any conflicts with Axapta. Unfortunately there are no
official Microsoft recommendations.

However to solve our memory problem we had to install
a privat fix of the SP3 kernel. The fix on the kernel
should be part of SP5.

Best regards
Thomas Kristiansen
