misinterpreted where your problem actually is.
You can modify sysQuery and sysQueryForm to do what you want. We did
something similar on a project to enable users to enter X++ code (like
systemDateGet()) into a range field. It was not simple though...
Here are the methods which we modified:
\Classes\SysQuery\unpackRangeAndSortorder
\Classes\SysQuery\unpackDataSource
\Classes\SysQueryForm\buildRange
\Classes\SysQueryForm\queryBuild
There may be others, but at least these were necessary to hook in to
the interpretation of the query ranges.
