Creating fields at run time is not the best thing ever. Still, if this is what you need you can do this :
AOTTableFieldList fields;
TreeNode myTable;
TreeNode field;
myTable = TreeNode::findNode("\\Data Dictionary\\Tables\\TheTable");
fields = myTable.AOTfindChild("Fields");
fields.addReal("NewField");
myTable.AOTcompile();
Appl.dbSynchronize(tableNum(TheTable), true, false, true);
