In order to achieve a consolidated report for AR, AP and Inventory, in a
Multi-Company environment, we need data across all the units when i log into
Axapta (Please refer my previous Support Call). This however cannot be
achieved from within Axapta as the AOT allows me to see only the data of the
company logged into.
As a result we have developed a Data Cube in SQL Olap Server which selects
all the data and gives me the info required by the customer. I can register
the cube in Business Analysis and see the same. BUT HOWEVER, I CAN SEE THE
DATA PROVIDED I'M SITTING AT THE SERVER ITSELF, I.E. ONLY IN A 2-TIER
ARCHITECHTURE. I WOULD LIKE TO VIEW THE SAME EVEN AS A CLIENT IN A 3-TIER
MODE.
Attached is a screen shot of the error occurring when i try to view the cube
as a client through an AOS.
Has somebody tried doing this. Please advice ASAP
