I have a stringedit control on a form. The stringedit control is not
bound to a datasource. Depending on an unbound radiobutton control
elsewhere on the form, I want to set the ExtendedDataType property
on the stringedit control.
I am able to set the property and the stringedit acquires the label
of the EDT, but the system does not allow me to do a lookup in the
stringedit.
If I attach the EDT at designtime to the unbound stringedit control,
the system allows lookup into the related table.
Any ideas on how to fix? My alternative is to write a custom lookup,
but I'd like to avoid that.
