I read ur mail & try the same what u have done. I created a new
report linking two datasources CustQuotationJour & CustQuotationTrans Tables
without specifying any ranges in both the tables. In the dialog screen i have
seen the Ranges for SalesId, QuotationId & Customer Account. So if we add the
ranges in the datasource level that alone will come in the dialog screen when
we open the report. Say suppose if i want only the ranges for salesid &
quotation id, then i vl create ranges for these two in CustQuotaionJour
datasource. The same will be displayed in the dialog screen. Also we can
include some other ranges in the dialog screen itself using New button in the
menu bar.
In ur case u want only the quotationid field to come, i also tried the same
and it is working fine. But for this QuotationId lookup will not come. This is
because if u see the EDT for QuotationId field, relation is not set. So if u
want the lookup, first create a relation for this EDT linking the Table as
CustQuotationJour and Related Field as QuotaionId.
I hope this will solve ur problem.

When running the report the dialog screen opens with few fields to selct. I
added quotation id in the range of datasource 'custquotationjour' and
nothing in 'custquotationtrans'
Now when we run the report it shows dialog screen with quotaionid and
salesid as fields to select. I want to remove the sales id from the
selection.
Also the quotationid is not having lookup.
Can anyone please help me.
