Hi VG,
   
  You have to override the "dialog()" method in your report. and place code to 
take the ranges from the user and to check whether he entered the value or not. 
if yes, place the value into the range of your datasource. if no, dont run the 
report.
   
  Dialog() is used when adding fields to the reports dialog. The report runbase 
framework will call the dialog when the report is executed. See the report 
KMAction.
