I have done this several times. I usually don't copy the axapd.aoi 
file but delete it so that when the service restarts it rebuilds 
this file. I have occasionally received this message but if you 
refresh the services form a couple of times you will see that 
eventually the service will be started after it has rebuilt the 
index file.
