The original table's write() method is called when you open the table with the table browser and manually edit or create a record. However when that table is added as a datasource to the form, and it is edited at the form level , the datasource's write() method is called.The super() call here does not call the table' s write() method, it probably calls the table's insert() or update() accordingly.
