Hi Abdul,

  Axapta 3.0 SP5 won't support SQL server 2005 unless you install KR2(Kernel
Rollup 2). you can download from partner source and try. (This is a problem
with Axapta kernel to host the database services)

Because I have faced a same problem few months back. And using KR2 I solved
this issue.

I think KR3 is the latest version. you can go for this patch.

  Good luck!

          Hi,

I have installed Ax 3.0 SP5 in a Win XP operating with SQL server 2005. This
was a fresh installation. After the database been created in SQL server 2005,
the very first time, when opening Axapta, the system gives the following error
message:

---------------------------
SQL error
---------------------------
Microsoft SQL Server has reported the following error:
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Incorrect syntax near 'INDEX'.
If this is intended
as a part of a table hint, A WITH keyword and parenthesis are now required. See
SQL Server Books
Online for proper syntax.
You may refer to the error log file for further details.
Retry the operation?
---------------------------
Yes No
---------------------------

This error appears after the logon screen of Ax 3.0. Once we say yes/no, it
keeps on giving different errors.

I guess, this would be possible to use SQL server 2005 with Ax 3.0. Please help
me to get rid of this error.

Thanks in advance.

Abdul
