We've had a similar issue except in our case it wouldn't send an email at all.
In our case it turned out to be our antivirus software. It treated the dundas mailer component as a spam source and blocked it. Did you try sending both emails from the same client session connected to the same aos? [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
