But, as far as I know, we can only group by one field. You can't group it upon both year and month. Either you need to group it on month or on year. I hope I'm right about this.

Remember - when you use the aggregate functions in X++ the query won't fully populate the other columns - only the columns mentioned in a group by or with an aggregate function will get populated.
