In 4.0 I've been creating saleslines and salestable rows programmatically by using their axSalesLine classes. Instantiate a new one, Fill up their .parmXXX methods with your data, and call their .save I have noticed that they sometimes miss a few business rules, but generally they work fairly well. You should find similiar ax classes for items...
