You (all) did do an awesome job with this migration.  Stealthy indeed....  I 
had not had not been involved in any of the testing, had never used git before 
today, and am up and running and have done several add,commit and push 
operations to my contrib projects on d.o.  allready.  

Congratulations and thanks to all who put in so much of their time making this 
transition as smooth as it was!   I won't be there in Chicago to give it, bu 
you certainly deserve a standing ovation....
 
I can really see the benefits of this shift..... Starting to think about 
switching my svn stuff over to git ;)
