It might have been badly worded on my end. It is not a patch which integrates QtSingleApplication into Qt5, but rather a set of patches for QtSingleApplication in the qt-solutions repository (http://qt.gitorious.org/qt-solutions), which allows for using QtSingleApplication with Qt5 (http://qt.gitorious.org/qt-solutions/qt-solutions/merge_requests/7).
