Hi Olivier,

I just gave it a try. I downloaded 
http://xcb.freedesktop.org/dist/xcb-util-wm-0.3.9.tar.gz , compiled it, and 
could use the resulting libxcb-icccm.so.4 (injecting it with LD_LIBRARY_PATH) :)

I think having the option to statically link xcb would really help users that 
want to ship Qt itself.  Has anybody looked into this already? If not I could 
have a look tomorrow ...
