We've been experiencing this bug with Qt 4.8.4 and Qt 4.8.5

The comments in the bug report indicate that it should be
fixed in 4.8.5, but the history shows no reference, and the
problem is still occurring:

We've also have found that this fix addresses the issue:

Can anybody comment on the status?
