Currently there is at least one API that is specific to BlackBerry that 
provides a wrapper for PPS that would be used in plugins supplied for Qt 
Location, as well as in Qt Systems.  A lot of BlackBerry information at the Qt 
API layer comes from PPS, so having this wrapper available without having to 
pull down a BlackBerry NDK, or "clone and own" (which has already been done) 
would be useful.

Essentially I'm trying to get something similar to the qt*extras modules 
already present in Qt.
