To the best of my knowledge qttools should always build in the default 
configuration.

But I've also noticed that qtools, qtscript, qtquick1 ... "sometimes" aren't 
built by just running top-level make. I'm not sure why that is ... I had a peek 
on the Makefile once in such a case, which looked innocent enough to my 
untrained eyes. It's no fun to debug this, either ;)
