I guess my point that the ranged based for loop and qt containers don't mix too well is now very much proven by the depth of this particular discussion. The upcoming Ranges TS has also uses std::begin and std::end. That means that qt containers will require special care to use with that TS. That is Qt is in danger of being hard to use with modern C++ in this area. My point is, if we don't use C++11 ourselves we won't find out in which areas Qt and modern C++ don't mix, and we won't fix them.
