... and, to squeeze a little more information out of .gitmodules:
$ grep -A 5 'submodule "qtremoteobjects"' .gitmodules
[submodule "qtremoteobjects"]
depends = qtbase
path = qtremoteobjects

branch = dev
status = preview
So it remains a preview (this is in dev, which shall presumably branch
5.10 reasonably soon),
