Asking? Maybe 1 or 2 times. (Sorry for not being super specific. There might be things I'm simply forgetting since it's been 10 years and there might be things that were not brought up to the whole committee but simply mentioned in a chat with one member of the group to get some input and guidance about how to handle a situation that was not further escalated because the problem was solved with that.)
