Hi Qt Developers,

For your information: Small cosmetic changes to Jira due to use of the new
add-on.

We are planning to enable Jira TestRail add-on for release testing. The
deployment will happen in August. TestRail is a standalone test management tool
that integrates with Jira. The tool will help us to track features, bugs, and
tests. The use of the test management tool applies to release quality
engineering activities.

Jira admins will configure default settings for the add-on in the following way:
A) By default, the add-on so that it will show an empty placeholder for
TestRail add-on pages or panels. This applies if you are not logged into Qt
TestRail tool.
B) TestRail users will see the extra information about linked test cases. This
applies if you are logged into Qt TestRail tool.

The linking is bi-directional:
1) TestRail users can see information about the linked Jira issues in the
TestRail tool
2) Jira users can see information about the related TestRail items in the Jira
tool

Who are TestRail users?

TestRail users are those developers who perform release testing. This covers
both manual release testing and automated release testing. More information to
those developers will follow later.

Best regards, Asmo Saarela
Test Lead
