perhaps similar story like above. Anyway, for the patch releases, if
the changes missed this release, but still could happen in next. So I
think it’s better to remove the one week soft branching phase.
i strongly recommend against having different schemes for minor and
release branches. some people find it hard enough to know what branches
are in cherry-pick mode, and adding more policy variations is not going
to help.
