Hi,

Giulio has informed me that he won’t be able to continue as the maintainer of
Qt Wayland. Thanks Giulio for your contribution!

Qt Wayland is currently listed as a single module on the wiki, but The
qtwayland repository falls into two modules that share a bit of code and need
to be reasonably well aligned to correctly support Qt specific protocol
extensions:

- Qt Wayland Client, which includes the QPA plugin that is used by Qt
applications running on Wayland

- Qt Wayland Compositor, with C++ and QML types developing of custom display
servers

I’d like to nominate David Edmundson ([email protected]) as the maintainer
of the Qt Wayland Client module, and Eskil Abrahamsen Blomfeld
([email protected]) as the maintainer of the Qt Wayland
Compositor module. They both have a long track record of working on Qt Wayland
[1] [2], and have been setting the direction of the module together with other
contributors e.g. during respective sessions at Qt Contributors Summits. They
have both agreed to take on the responsibility.
