Sorry, I saw this just now. This is not the intended behavior. Thanks for reporting this. I've created https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-134693 to track this.
For such behavior changes you can always use the bug tracker. Even if it turns out to be an intended change we then have some record of it.
