Hi,

some of you might have noticed that there was an outage on bugreports.qt.io
last weekend. This was related to the migration of Jira projects to the
Atlassian Jira cloud. The migrated projects were projects only accessible to Qt
Company employees and as such this change does not have any consequences for
the Qt community.

However, since Atlassian has discontinued the support for its Jira on premise
product, we are forced to phase out the usage of bugreports for the community
too. As mentioned, the phasing out started by moving Qt Company projects away
last weekend. The only remaining projects on bugreports are Qt Community/Open
source projects.

In about 3-4 months (please don't nail me down on the exact time frame) we will
migrate the Open source projects to the Atlassian cloud as well. During the
process we will transfer related users, their data and projects. After that has
happened bugreports.qt.io will remain around as a read-only version of the past
for some time to come.

During the next weeks we will start trialing smaller project migrations to
figure out the process. On the positive side, the community will already
benefit from the experience we are collecting due to The Qt Company internal
migration.

If you have any non-general questions about it, please contact
jira-ad...@qt-project.org.
