Hi,

Based on current planning the next LTS version of Qt will be 6.12.
The reason is that the LTS period has been extended to 5 years support. There
will always be at least two actively supported LTS versions. For more
information, check our blog post from October:

Subject: Re: [Development] Qt 6.11.0 initial schedule

Hi,
Am I correct to assume this will be a LTS?
I think it is a valuable information to have about release schedules.

Cheers,
Pierre-Yves

Hi!

It is again time to agree initial schedule for Qt 6.11.0.

Here is the proposal:

  * Platform and Module freeze 21.11.2025
  *   Feature freeze 5.12.2025
  *   Beta1 19.12.2025
  *   RC: 27.02.2026
  *   Final 17.03.2026

Any comments? As usual, this is based on the previous Qt spring release
schedule (Qt 6.9.0).
br,
Jani
