[17:01:00] <jaheikki3> time to start qt release team meeting
[17:01:06] <jaheikki3> on agenda today:
[17:01:12] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.12 status
[17:01:15] <vohi[M]> jaheikki3: pong
[17:01:15] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.11 status
[17:01:25] <jaheikki3> Any additional item to the agenda?
[17:02:18] <thiago> jaheikki3: pong
[17:02:38] <jaheikki3> Let's start from Qt 6.12 status
[17:03:09] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.12.0 is released, thanks to everyone once again!
[17:03:28] <vohi[M]> 🥳
[17:03:42] <jaheikki3> It seems to be quite good release, at least I haven't
heard anything alarming so far
[17:03:58] <jaheikki3> The target is to release Qt 6.12.1 17th November 2026
[17:04:30] <jaheikki3> And release preparations are already started, the first
snapshot is built and testing started
[17:04:58] <jaheikki3> That's all about 6.12 status at this time. Any comments
or questions?
[17:06:08] <jaheikki3> Ok, then Qt 6.11 status
[17:06:23] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.11.3 release preparations are still ongoing
[17:06:52] <jaheikki3> Some new blockers found and fixing mostly done, fixes
for one are still in review
[17:07:07] <jaheikki3> We will release Qt 6.11.3 as soon as possible, current
target is Tue 20th October
[17:07:23] <jaheikki3> And as said earlier, 6.11.3 will be the last release
from Qt 6.11 series
[17:07:37] <thiago> I thought we'd already closed it all
[17:08:24] <jaheikki3> thiago: I thought the same, but we got new security
issues which has to be fixed before release
[17:09:11] <jaheikki3> Any other comments or questions?
[17:10:40] <carewolf> Well, we are planning to release QtWebEngine and QtPdf
6.140.0 next week
[17:11:01] <carewolf> but it will be first time some unsure of all the steps
and who does what
[17:11:17] <jaheikki3> carewolf: yes, true
[17:11:58] <jaheikki3> let's check more about that tomorrow
[17:12:04] <carewolf> okay
[17:12:34] <frkleint> what webengine version is in 6.12.0? We are actually
considering a PySide 6.12.0.1 due to some issues, we might include the new one..
[17:12:42] <carewolf> it was not in 6.12.0
[17:12:50] <frkleint> what?
[17:12:57] <carewolf> it is no longer part of Qt
[17:13:11] <thiago> separate release schedule
[17:13:36] <frkleint> Well, yes, we bundle it in PySide (extra wheel), but that
already was 140.0 for 6.12.0 AFAIK
[17:13:45] <carewolf> ah ok
[17:14:05] <jaheikki3> frkleint: it was rc, which were released with the 6.12.0
[17:14:22] <frkleint> Oopsi. I guess I don't want to know..
[17:14:26] <jaheikki3> or at the same time with 6.12.0
[17:14:28] <carewolf> right 6.140.0-rc was parallel with 6.12.0
[17:14:56] <frkleint> Hm, ok. then it looks we bundled that with PySide 6.12.0
[17:15:53] <jaheikki3> It was all at this time so let's end this meeting now &
have new one Tue 20th October at this same time
[17:16:03] <jaheikki3> Thanks for your participation, bye!
[17:16:05] <carewolf> see you
[17:16:22] <vohi[M]> bye
[17:16:27] <frkleint> bye
