Just a quick note on a workaround I had with an other phone that was difficult to charge...

I used to have a HTC Magician Windows Mobile (branded T-Mobile MDA, but I think the "same" as HTC Jam mobile),
and charged via the mini-USB socket.

I found that charging from a PC always worked, but charging with a charger other than the supplied one didn't work.

I purchased a few car chargers (ie cigar sock -> mini USB), and none of those worked either, except when I managed to very small mini-usb hub, and plugged the car charger into that, and then the phone into the hub. (ie the hub was powered via the mini-usb connector). A bit of a spaghetti of wires, but it worked. Maybe this would work with some hubs for the Neo.

regards

Martin

You need a 'smart' host to do this. So if you plug the hub into the
host computer, it will enumerate the device and set it in high power
mode.

Yes the hub is connected to the computer, but for whatever reason I
don't get as much charge current out of it.

Ok, I reject what i said and claim the opposite. :)
