Another question would be what can be done to make this process better and more automated? Without any knowledge of the current process, Im assuming some sort of web interface which will allow people to submit and run User-Agents thru the current DDR and flag devices which are new, mis-identified, or unknown. Those devices then get pushed thru some kind of dev/review workflow which results in a newer, and more accurate, DDR release. So thinking about future steps, we are going to need an application server and a database. ________________________________ From: Bertrand Delacretaz <[email protected]> To: [email protected]; Reza <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, March 26, 2013 12:33 PM Subject: Re: Device Recognition for Embedded On Tue, Mar 26, 2013 at 5:31 PM, Reza <[email protected]> wrote: > ...Right, im talking about both the OpenDDR DDR and the future DeviceMap > DDR:... So what does it need for the OpenDDR action and releases to move here? Is that technical hurdles, people waiting for me to setup things here, or something else? (there's no obligation of course, but after DMAP-11 I assumed the intention was to move things here including updates and releases) -Bertrand
